MISSION, VISION & STATEMENT OF FAITH

MISSION

COAST Christian Academy exists for the praise and glory of God alone. (Romans 11:36)

COAST Christian Academy holds:

  • God as the source of all Truth (John 14:6, Psalm 119:160)
  • All knowledge and wisdom are derived from God’s Truth (John 17:17)
  • God and His Truth are the foundation for the formation of Christian character and for the education of the Christian mind (Romans 12:2, Psalm 33:4)

VISION

COAST Christian Academy seeks to educate and grow up young men and women in a Biblical worldview, preparing them to seek God’s plan for their lives while pursuing:

  • Excellence as an act of worship (Colossians 3:23)
  • Leadership modeled after Christ (Mark 10:45)
  • Faith lived boldly (Romans 1:16)

COAST Christian Academy envisions a distinctly Christian school marked by theological conviction, academic rigor, spiritual maturity, and disciplined excellence, with every subject taught through a biblical worldview.

We envision graduates prepared to attend college or pursue a vocation who:

  • Stand firmly upon the inspired, infallible, and sufficient Word of God (Psalm 119:160).
  • Understand the sovereignty of God over all creation and history (Isaiah 46:9–10).
  • Recognize their calling as image-bearers redeemed by Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17–20).
  • Exercise their spiritual gifts for the building up of the Church and the glory of God (1
    Corinthians 12:4–7).
  • Lead courageously with biblical conviction in a culture increasingly hostile to truth (Joshua 1:9).
  • Be prepared to face questions and challenges to their faith (1 Peter 3:15).
  • Compete and labor with discipline, perseverance, and integrity (1 Corinthians 9:24–27).
  • Live with an eternal perspective (Colossians 3:1–2).

We envision a generation that does not conform to the pattern of this world but is transformed by the renewing of their minds (Romans 12:2), stepping forward confidently and unapologetically in their faith wherever the Lord sends them.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Holy Scriptures

We believe the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible, and sufficient Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21). Scripture is the final authority in all matters of faith, doctrine, morality, and life (Psalm 119:105; Psalm 119:160).

TheTriune God

We believe in one living and true God (Deuteronomy 6:4), eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14). Each person of the Trinity is fully God, co-equal in power and glory, of one essence, yet distinct in person.

TheSovereignty of God

We believe God sovereignly ordains whatever comes to pass (Ephesians 1:11), governing all creation for His glory and purposes (Psalm 103:19; Isaiah 46:9–10).

Before the foundation of the world, God chose in Christ those whom He would save (Ephesians 1:4–5; Romans 8:29–30). Salvation is entirely of the Lord (Jonah 2:9), initiated by the Father, accomplished by the Son, and applied by the Holy Spirit (John 6:44; Titus 3:5).

Creation

We believe God created the heavens and the earth and all that is in them by the word of His power (Genesis 1:1; Colossians 1:16–17). Humanity was created in His image, male and female (Genesis 1:27).

The Fall and Human Sin

We believe that through Adam’s disobedience, sin entered the world (Romans 5:12). All humanity is fallen, spiritually dead in sin (Ephesians 2:1–3), and incapable of saving themselves apart from divine grace.

The Person and Work of Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God (John 1:1–14), fully God and fully man (Colossians 2:9), born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23), and lived a perfectly sinless life (Hebrews 4:15).

We believe Christ offered Himself as the complete and final atoning sacrifice for sin (Hebrews 10:10–14), bearing the sins of His people upon the cross (Isaiah 53:5–6; 1 Peter 2:24). Through His shed blood, believers receive redemption and forgiveness (Ephesians 1:7).

He was bodily raised from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:3–4), ascended into heaven (Acts 1:9–11), and will return again in glory to judge the living and the dead (Revelation 19:11–16).

Salvation

We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8–9; Acts 4:12).

Justification is an act of God’s free grace whereby He declares sinners righteous on the basis of Christ’s righteousness imputed to them (Romans 5:1; 2 Corinthians 5:21).

The Holy Spirit regenerates, indwells, sanctifies, and preserves believers (John 3:5–8; Philippians 1:6; Galatians 5:22–23).

Human Life and Dignity

We believe human life begins at conception and is sacred because every person bears the image of God (Psalm 139:13–16; Jeremiah 1:5). All life is precious and worthy of protection.

Gender and Sexuality

We believe God created humanity as two distinct sexes, male and female (Genesis 1:27; Matthew 19:4).

We believe marriage is a covenant instituted by God between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5–6). This covenant reflects Christ’s relationship with His Church (Ephesians 5:31–32).

The Christian Life & Calling

We believe believers are called to pursue holiness (1 Peter 1:15–16), to live boldly for Christ (Matthew 5:14–16), and to steward faithfully the gifts entrusted to them (1 Peter 4:10).

Each student is encouraged to discern and develop their God-given calling under the authority of Scripture and the lordship of Christ, stepping confidently into every vocation and arena of life as ambassadors for Christ. Families enrolling at COAST Christian Academy affirm alignment with these essential doctrines.

(2 Corinthians 5:20).
